Hell of a Child (2023)

Young and unnurtured, a child is berated by the ways of the world with a need to survive but is faced with the inevitable defeat.

Hell of a Child is a story of the manipulation, of a young child who is misguided and hardened by the neglect of his village and community. In Hell of a Child, we follow BOO, played by Camden Randall as he navigates through the inevitable defeat. Loosely based on the story of Robert "Yummy" Sandifer, a child from Chicago, IL. Yummy was brutally murdered by his gang after the accidental death of a young teen, Shavon Dean in 1994. Director Dominique Draper is heavily inspired by the story, along with his own experiences.
